Position

Medical Director

Reports To: Chief Medical Officer

Work Arrangement: Remote / Virtual-First

Employment Type: Part-Time

Expected Commitment: Approximately 20 Hours Per Week

Role Overview

Found Health is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead clinical innovation, clinical strategy, and clinical practice development across its virtual care platform.

Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and executive leadership team, the Medical Director will serve as the primary architect of Found's clinical offerings, helping bridge the gap between clinical strategy, product development, provider enablement, and operational execution.

This role combines healthcare leadership, clinical governance, product collaboration, provider oversight, and strategic planning within a rapidly growing digital health environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Strategy

Lead the evaluation, prioritization, and development of:

  • Metabolic health programs
  • Longevity protocols
  • New clinical offerings

Partner with executive leadership to align clinical innovation with organizational goals.

Serve as a key advisor to:

  • CEO
  • Chief Medical Officer
  • Executive Leadership Team
  • Medical Advisory Partners

Clinical Governance & Regulatory Leadership

Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for:

  • Legal teams
  • Compliance teams
  • Clinical governance initiatives

Support the development and maintenance of safe, evidence-based care models.

Provide guidance on clinical risk management and regulatory considerations.

Clinical Product Design

Develop clinical strategy documents that guide new offerings and programs.

Ensure all clinical programs maintain:

  • High-quality care standards
  • Patient safety
  • Positive patient experiences

Partner closely with:

  • Product teams
  • Clinical Operations
  • Associate Medical Director

Support the translation of clinical protocols into scalable digital care experiences.

Provider Training & Enablement

Help evolve and strengthen clinician training programs.

Ensure providers can consistently deliver:

  • High-quality care
  • Evidence-based treatment
  • Standardized patient experiences

Partner with product and operations teams to reduce barriers to care and improve accessibility.

Clinical Quality & Performance Oversight

Accountable for:

  • Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs)
  • Clinical quality standards
  • Provider performance frameworks
  • Standardization of care delivery

Collaborate with the Associate Medical Director and Head of Operations to support:

  • Clinical quality programs
  • Chart review processes
  • Provider education initiatives
  • Practice-wide adoption of clinical protocols

External Partnerships

Evaluate and maintain relationships with:

  • Pharmacies
  • Diagnostics providers
  • Clinical service vendors
  • Healthcare partners

Support integration of external services into Found's care ecosystem.

Leadership Responsibilities

Oversee and collaborate with:

  • Associate Medical Director
  • Clinical Leads
  • Head of Operations

Support alignment between:

  • Clinical teams
  • Product teams
  • Operations teams
  • Executive leadership

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Active Board Certification in a relevant specialty

Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience

Significant clinical leadership experience within:

  • Technology-enabled healthcare organizations
  • Virtual care environments
  • Direct-pay healthcare models
  • Insurance-based healthcare models

Preferred Experience

Strong background in:

  • Metabolic health
  • Obesity medicine
  • Longevity medicine

Experience leading:

  • Clinical operations
  • Clinical innovation initiatives
  • Provider performance programs
  • Virtual care organizations

Experience collaborating with:

  • Product teams
  • Technology teams
  • Healthcare operations leaders

Desired Skills & Competencies

Strategic thinking and clinical leadership

Ability to translate complex medical concepts into actionable business and product strategies

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
