About the Role
The organization is recruiting leaders for renewable two-year board positions, including Board Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Members.
This is a ground-floor governance opportunity for individuals who want to help build a nonprofit from its earliest stage.
Board service is designed to be flexible and manageable, with hybrid meetings, committee involvement, and phased responsibilities as the organization grows.
The timeline includes strategy sessions during pre-incorporation in 2026, active board service and incorporation work in 2027, and quarterly meetings with committee engagement from 2028 onward.
Responsibilities
You will help guide the strategic direction, governance structure, and long-term sustainability of the nonprofit.
Board Chairs will provide leadership in governance, fundraising, and board coordination.
Secretaries will support legal compliance, governance records, administration, and operational organization.
Treasurers will oversee financial stewardship, budgeting, accounting controls, and fiscal strategy.
Board Members will contribute expertise in areas such as recovery services, healthcare, community development, marketing, or technology.
All members will participate in meetings, committee work, strategic planning, and mission advancement.
Requirements
Candidates with nonprofit governance or prior board experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience in addiction recovery, behavioral health, healthcare, community development, finance, legal, operations, marketing, or technology is valuable depending on the position.
Lived experience connected to recovery is welcomed and considered meaningful.
