England Athletics is seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join its Board and support the next phase of the organization’s strategic development.
England Athletics serves as the National Governing Body for athletics in England and supports a membership network of approximately 1,870 clubs and organizations, over 180,000 registered athletes, and millions of runners across the country.
The organization works closely with UK Athletics, Home Countries, Sport England, and Commonwealth Games England to support participation, competition, and long-term growth in athletics and running.
England Athletics aims to maintain athletics as an inclusive and accessible sport where participants of all backgrounds and ability levels can thrive.

England Athletics is seeking two experienced Board-level leaders to provide strategic oversight and support long-term organizational growth.
Successful candidates should demonstrate:

Strong judgment
Emotional intelligence
Communication and listening skills
Flexibility and collaboration
Prior athletics involvement is not required, although a willingness to contribute time and strategic leadership is important.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification
Strong financial leadership background as a Finance Director or Senior Finance Manager
Experience in governance, strategic oversight, audit, and risk management
The selected candidate will chair the Audit & Assurance Committee.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Strong senior-level commercial leadership background
Expertise in commercial strategy, sponsorship, and business development
Experience supporting sustainable organizational growth
The selected candidate will establish and chair a new Commercial Advisory Group.
Board meetings occur approximately 6–8 times annually.
