
The Director of Management and Organizational Development will lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on strengthening leadership capability, driving culture transformation, and improving organizational effectiveness within a large non-bank mortgage originator.
This role partners closely with executive leadership, HR business partners, and talent development teams to align leadership and organizational strategies with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
The position requires balancing research-based organizational development practices with practical execution in a fast-moving business environment.
Design and implement enterprise culture initiatives that reinforce organizational values and behaviors.
Use organizational diagnostics, employee feedback, and structured change management approaches to drive adoption and measurable improvements.
Design and deliver scalable leadership development programs across multiple organizational levels.
Strengthen management capability, succession planning, and leadership bench strength.
Evaluate and implement modern learning approaches including cohort-based programs, simulations, action learning, digital learning platforms, and behavioral science techniques.
Partner with Learning and Development teams to ensure alignment across leadership initiatives.
Act as a strategic advisor to HR business partners and senior leaders on talent strategy, leadership effectiveness, and organizational design.
Provide executive coaching support and development strategies for high-potential and critical-role talent.
Equip HR teams with coaching tools and frameworks.
Assess organizational health, operating structures, team dynamics, and decision-making processes.
Facilitate interventions that improve alignment, agility, collaboration, and performance.
Define and track metrics related to leadership effectiveness, engagement, retention, internal mobility, and organizational performance.
Use analytics to refine programs and demonstrate business impact.
Lead the annual employee engagement survey process including design, vendor coordination, communications, reporting, and action planning.
Support leaders and HR partners in translating survey insights into measurable improvements.
Manage annual talent review and succession planning processes.
Coordinate materials, timelines, stakeholder preparation, and post-review follow-up actions.
Support long-term talent and leadership planning initiatives.
Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Leadership, or related field strongly preferred.
10 or more years of progressive experience in organizational development, leadership development, or talent management.
Experience within financial services or mortgage industries is preferred.
Prior HR business partner or HR generalist experience is highly valued.
Demonstrated success leading culture transformation initiatives.
Strong project management experience within matrixed or global organizations.
Deep expertise in adult learning theory, organizational behavior, and change management.
Strong facilitation, coaching, and consulting capabilities.
Experience working with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
Professional coaching certifications such as ICF, Hogan, or Korn Ferry are preferred.
Familiarity with leadership and assessment tools such as DISC, MBTI, 360 feedback, and engagement surveys.
Experience with hybrid or globally distributed organizations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle Fusion, and talent management systems.
Expected salary range between $150,000 and $180,000 annually depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
Eligible for annual performance-based bonus compensation.
