The Role
As Director of Quantitative Operations, you will report directly to the Managing Director and take overall responsibility for the Quantitative Operations function.
You will lead a team of approximately 12 Quantitative Operations and Project Management professionals, overseeing team performance, utilisation, development and succession planning. The role also carries responsibility for a £12m–£15m annual project portfolio and requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining close enough to the operation to drive delivery.
The business is also open to experienced Senior Managers ready to make their first move into a Director-level position, provided they can demonstrate the necessary leadership, commercial awareness and operational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the Quantitative Operations team.
- Manage team performance, utilisation and development.
- Build a strong training, mentoring and succession plan.
- Support departmental growth and future planning.
Operations & Delivery
- Oversee delivery across a £12m–£15m annual project portfolio.
- Own resource allocation, project planning and operational delivery.
- Drive improvements across processes, best practice and quality standards.
- Ensure the function operates efficiently, commercially and profitably.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a senior escalation point.
- Work closely with Client Services, Sales, Finance and wider operational teams.
- Support senior leadership with departmental growth and future planning.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Quantitative Research Operations.
- Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical or healthcare market research.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams.
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, budgets and competing priorities.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commercially aware approach, balancing operational excellence with profitability.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across healthcare-focused market research agencies, pharmaceutical research or healthcare data collection.
- Senior Manager-level experience with clear leadership potential and the ability to scale responsibilities into a Director-level role.
Compensation
£90,000–£100,000 + quarterly performance-based bonus
