The company works as an extension of its clients' teams, providing tactical support for day-to-day operations as well as strategic guidance to help brands make informed decisions and build scalable processes.
Bravo CPG has supported more than 225 brands across consumer goods categories including food, beverage, personal care, and beauty.
The Role
The Director of Operations will serve as the senior operations leader for 1–4 growth-stage CPG brands at a time.
The role involves owning client engagements, managing relationships, overseeing operational performance, and delivering strategic and tactical projects defined within each engagement.
Depending on the client, responsibilities may include demand planning, ERP implementation, co-manufacturer searches, COGS reduction, commercialization, and new product launches.
The Director of Operations will also manage junior Bravo CPG team members supporting client accounts while focusing primarily on the strategic elements of each engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Operations Leadership
- Lead client engagements and manage client relationships.
- Own engagement success and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the senior operations leader for assigned clients.
- Oversee operational performance, strategic planning, and S&OP.
- Manage relationships with key partners including:
- Co-manufacturers
- 3PLs
- Suppliers
- Serve as a strategic advisor to growth-stage founders and CEOs.
Strategic Operations
- Lead operational initiatives such as:
- COGS reduction
- Demand planning
- 3PL and co-manufacturer searches
- Commercialization
- New product launches
- ERP / IMS integration
- Identify and implement systems, processes, and tools that improve operational efficiency.
- Audit and improve existing operations.
- Establish processes and systems that can eventually be transitioned to client managers.
Team Leadership
- Oversee junior Bravo CPG team members assigned to client engagements.
- Ensure daily operational tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to junior team members.
Client Operations & Execution
- Maintain communication between client operations, sales, and finance teams.
- Manage client budgets and ensure efficient use of Bravo CPG resources.
- Execute tactical operational work when necessary, including:
- Inventory reporting
- Purchase orders
- Freight scheduling
- Invoice review and auditing
- Balance workload across 2–4 client accounts at a time.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management within CPG.
- 5+ years of managerial experience.
- 3+ years of demand planning and production management experience.
- Strong Google Sheets skills.
- Strong data analysis and ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
- Availability of at least 15 hours per week.
