Key Responsibilities

  • Advise executive leadership on improving surgical outcomes, efficiency, and patient safety.
  • Represent the company with surgeons, healthcare executives, regulators, and strategic partners.

Product Strategy

  • Partner with product, R&D, regulatory, quality, and commercial teams to shape the product roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, indication expansion, and platform enhancements.
  • Provide guidance on surgical technologies including robotics, imaging, energy systems, navigation, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Support competitive assessments and product differentiation strategies.

Medical Affairs & Clinical Evidence

  • Support the company's clinical evidence generation strategy.
  • Contribute to clinical trial design, registries, post-market studies, and health economic initiatives.
  • Assist with publications, conference presentations, and scientific engagement.
  • Ensure clinical claims remain scientifically and regulatorily compliant.

Commercial & Market Development

  • Support global commercial strategy and product positioning.
  • Participate in customer meetings, distributor training, investor presentations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Help identify target clinical segments and regional growth opportunities.
  • Provide clinically accurate support for sales and marketing initiatives.

Surgeon Engagement & Education

  • Build relationships with global key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and surgical societies.
  • Lead advisory boards, innovation workshops, and hands-on training programs.
  • Support surgeon education, certification pathways, and centers of excellence.
  • Develop scalable adoption strategies for new surgical technologies.

Regulatory & Quality

  • Provide clinical input for regulatory submissions and risk assessments.
  • Support post-market surveillance and complaint investigations.
  • Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to maintain patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree with completed surgical training.
  • Significant experience in General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, HPB Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, or a related specialty.
  • Strong expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic, endoscopic, or image-guided procedures.
  • Experience working with medical device companies, product development, medical affairs, or clinical advisory boards.
  • Strong understanding of global surgical practice and healthcare systems.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks including CE Mark, FDA, MDR, and post-market clinical evaluation.
  • Ability to build relationships with healthcare leaders, surgeons, and strategic partners.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience within a medical technology company.
  • Experience with surgical robotics, digital surgery, AI, or advanced surgical technologies.
  • Active or recent practice at a leading academic or high-volume clinical center.
  • Experience with clinical research, publications, and medical society leadership.
