The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Transformation Leader will drive strategic business transformation initiatives across the finance organization. This executive role is responsible for translating corporate strategy into financial execution, optimizing organizational performance, and leading enterprise-wide finance transformation efforts.
The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to improve financial performance, develop long-term strategic plans, support organizational restructuring, and enhance decision-making through financial analysis and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead strategic business transformation initiatives across the finance organization.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable business plans and financial forecasts.
- Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategies with long-term business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop innovative financial and operational performance metrics.
- Prepare financial outlooks and gap closure plans.
- Analyze financial performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Build financial forecasts that align with evolving market conditions.
Organizational Transformation
- Design and implement finance organizational structures that support business growth.
- Lead finance-related organizational restructuring initiatives.
- Improve finance processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives from a financial perspective.
Executive & Board Collaboration
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financially viable business strategies.
- Present financial strategies, forecasts, and performance updates to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Support investor relations activities by communicating financial performance and strategic direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of finance experience with expertise in FP&A, strategic planning, and corporate finance.
- Minimum of 10 years leading finance teams and large-scale financial transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and business growth.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
- Knowledge of financial systems such as HFM Hyperion.
- Experience within contract research organizations (CROs) is advantageous.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA.
- Experience within the clinical research or contract research organization (CRO) industry.
- Executive coaching or advanced leadership development experience.
Compensation
- Salary range disclosed: $0 – $1,000,000 annually (actual compensation based on experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity).
