The organization is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical oversight across its behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services.

The Role

The Medical Director will provide medical and clinical oversight for the organization's behavioral health and SUD programs while also delivering direct psychiatric and substance use treatment.

The role combines clinical leadership, patient care, quality assurance, interdisciplinary collaboration, policy development, and strategic planning for behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

• Provide medical and clinical oversight of behavioral health and SUD services.
• Serve as Medical Director for Agency behavioral health programs.
• Provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and psychiatric and SUD assessments.
• Manage medications and prescribe psychotropic medications.
• Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MOUD/MAT).
• Provide crisis psychiatric consultation when clinically appropriate.
• Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments.
• Develop treatment plans and provide patient and family education.
• Review laboratory results and monitor medications.
• Provide withdrawal management consultation within scope of practice.
• Provide telepsychiatry services when applicable.

Interdisciplinary Care

• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Consult with therapists, CADCs, counselors, case managers, nursing staff, and leadership.
• Review complex cases and support clinical decision-making for high-risk clients.

Quality & Clinical Governance

• Participate in quality assurance activities, including periodic chart reviews and documentation sign-offs.
• Promote evidence-based psychiatric and substance use treatment.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Develop, review, and approve clinical policies, procedures, standing orders, and clinical protocols.

Strategic Support

• Assist with strategic planning and service expansion.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
• Current unrestricted Illinois APRN license.
• At least three years of clinical training or experience in community mental health, outpatient, or hospital environments.
• Current Illinois Controlled Substance License and DEA Registration.
• National Provider Identifier required and maintained in good standing.
• Enrollment or ability to enroll in Illinois Medicaid.
• Eligible for Medicare credentialing and commercial insurance credentialing.

About ESPOA

The Empire State Property Owners Association (ESPOA) is a newly formed statewide organization focused on protecting property rights and advocating for fair, balanced short-term rental policies across New York.

ESPOA brings property owners together around responsible advocacy, education, and collaboration. The organization is building a unified statewide voice representing New York property owners and the communities they serve.

The organization is led by a board focused on developing strong relationships, advancing practical solutions, and establishing a credible voice for the state's short-term rental community.

The Role

The Executive Director or Operations Manager will support ESPOA's revenue growth, member engagement, operations, and advocacy initiatives.

Reporting to Rent Responsibly's Director of Alliance Operations and the ESPOA Board, the role is suited to a self-managed professional who can balance strategic thinking and creativity with hands-on execution.

Candidates without prior Executive Director experience will initially join as an Operations Manager and, with success in the role, receive training and professional development toward an Executive Director position.

The role is work-from-home, requires candidates to be based in New York, and has the potential to expand as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Member Engagement

• Grow and retain membership.
• Develop sponsorships, donations, and additional revenue opportunities.
• Plan and manage virtual and in-person events.
• Capture photo and video content for future use.
• Manage social media posting and community engagement.
• Engage with members through the member portal.
• Develop and communicate new member benefits.
• Manage member and subscriber communications, including newsletters, advocacy alerts, regulatory updates, event promotions, news, and sales promotions.

Leadership & Administration

• Prepare agendas and facilitate leadership meetings.
• Track and follow up on action items and meeting directives.
• Manage meeting reminders and scheduling.
• Manage email, social media, and member portal inboxes.
• Liaise with Rent Responsibly's association support team.

Advocacy & External Relations

• Monitor local news and important developments.

• Maintain awareness of local and state policy conversations.

Programs & Organizational Development

Financial Administration

Qualified candidates may support the Treasurer with:

Qualifications
