This Program Director, Corporate Development & M&A role is a project-based leadership opportunity focused on growing and leading a specialist training practice in corporate development, business development, and buy-side M&A. You will combine deep transaction experience with education and client engagement to shape high-impact learning programs.
Wall Street Prep was founded in 2004 by investment bankers and provides practical training programs for financial professionals and students worldwide. Its instructor-led and online courses help bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world finance execution.
The company works with leading investment banks, private equity firms, corporates, and top universities around the world.
You will lead the strategic growth of Wall Street Prep’s Corporate Development & M&A training practice, helping organisations build stronger internal deal capabilities. This role is ideal for an experienced in-house M&A or corporate development professional who enjoys mentoring others and translating real transaction experience into practical frameworks.
You will design and develop curriculum covering corporate development strategy, pipeline management, buy-side M&A processes, valuation, transaction structuring, and post-merger integration. You will deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions both virtually and in person for corporate development teams, investment professionals, business leaders, and MBA students.
You will partner with client teams to create bespoke training programs tailored to organisational goals and capability gaps. You will also collaborate internally with sales, product, and leadership teams to support business development efforts and expand the practice.
Additionally, you will mentor instructors within the M&A practice and help maintain high-quality delivery standards.
You bring at least seven years of experience in corporate development, buy-side M&A, private equity, or strategic finance. You have strong end-to-end transaction experience and are comfortable working cross-functionally with business leaders throughout the deal lifecycle.
You have deep expertise in deal sourcing, valuation, financial modelling, diligence, execution, and integration planning. Prior experience in top-tier investment banking or private equity environments is advantageous.
You are also a strong communicator with a passion for mentoring professionals and simplifying complex concepts into practical, actionable lessons. Experience creating training content or leading workshops is a plus.
Success in this role means building a leading training practice, delivering high-value programs to global clients, and helping professionals improve their corporate development and M&A capabilities. You will establish yourself as a trusted expert in finance education and strategic transactions.
This is a flexible, project-based role requiring approximately 20 to 40 days per year. The position is remote and open to candidates in the United States or United Kingdom, with domestic and international travel as needed. Compensation is competitive and based on project or daily rates.
