The Treasurer serves as a member of the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing the financial health and stewardship of the organisation.
This leadership role provides financial oversight and strategic guidance to ensure the foundation’s resources are managed responsibly and in alignment with its mission. The Treasurer will work closely with other board members and organisational leadership to support sound financial management, long-term planning, and regulatory compliance.
The Treasurer will oversee the organisation’s financial position by reviewing financial statements and monitoring financial performance. The role includes developing and supervising budgeting processes to ensure financial resources are allocated effectively to support organisational programs and initiatives.
Strategic financial planning will be an important part of the position, helping the organisation align its financial strategy with its mission, operational priorities, and long-term sustainability goals.
The Treasurer will ensure that the organisation maintains compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and governance expectations. This includes helping maintain financial transparency and accountability across the organisation.
The role also involves collaborating closely with fellow board members to ensure financial decisions support the broader mission, vision, and strategic direction of the foundation.
Candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency in financial statements, accounting practices, and financial analysis.
Experience in financial planning, strategic finance, and organisational budgeting is required, along with the ability to provide financial oversight within a governance or advisory capacity.
Applicants should possess strong organisational and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing financial reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The ability to collaborate effectively with board members and organisational stakeholders is essential. Previous experience serving on a board of directors is advantageous.
