This Interim Finance Director role is a 12-month contract opportunity within a high-growth, multi-site hospitality group. As a key member of the Management Board, you will lead the finance function during a critical phase of expansion, providing both strategic direction and hands-on leadership.
The business is a leading UK franchise operator with over 100 sites, managing well-known coffee and quick-service brands. With continued acquisitions and new store openings planned, the group is entering a significant growth phase driven by strong operational performance and clear strategic ambition.
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, taking full ownership of financial performance while supporting key business decisions. This role offers the chance to shape financial strategy, strengthen internal capabilities, and contribute directly to the company’s expansion.
You will lead the finance function, managing full P&L responsibility, cash flow, and covenant compliance. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure governance, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with growth objectives.
You will manage statutory accounts, audits, and compliance processes, while also providing commercial insight to support operational and strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in managing lender relationships and strengthening the finance team to support ongoing scale.
You are a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience as a Finance Director or Head of Finance within multi-site retail or hospitality environments. You have strong expertise in cash flow management, lender negotiations, and covenant compliance.
You are hands-on, commercially minded, and analytical, with the ability to lead teams effectively. You are also a confident communicator who can influence at board level and contribute to high-level decision-making.
Success in this role means maintaining strong financial control while enabling business growth, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring the company is financially positioned to scale successfully.
The role offers a salary between £100,000 and £120,000, with a bonus of up to 30 percent. It is a 12-month contract with a remote setup, alongside regular travel to offices in Essex and store locations.
