The Director of Market Operations leads operational collaboration with healthcare customers, providers, and facilities while ensuring strong market performance, engagement initiatives, and continued growth within the Texas market.
This role oversees provider relations, field engagement, and customer-facing operational performance. The position also partners closely with clinical leadership to ensure seamless care delivery and to drive operational improvements that enhance patient outcomes and service quality.
The Director of Market Operations is responsible for overseeing market performance and ensuring operational initiatives deliver measurable clinical and financial results. The role leads operational partnerships with healthcare customers across the market, aligning strategy and execution around contractual goals, quality outcomes, and member experience.
This position also drives provider and community engagement efforts designed to strengthen partnerships with healthcare providers, facilities, and community stakeholders. Working closely with clinical leadership, the Director ensures operational strategies support the successful implementation of the care model while delivering a seamless patient experience.
The role requires identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen overall market performance. This includes monitoring market dynamics, payer strategies, regulatory developments, and competitive activity while providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
In addition, the Director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across clinical operations, analytics, finance, growth, and broader operational leadership to optimize workflows, strengthen accountability, and ensure coordinated execution across the market. The role also ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal operational policies.
The ideal candidate brings at least seven years of experience in healthcare operations, market management, or provider relations. A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree considered advantageous.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practices. Experience working closely with healthcare providers, facilities, and clinical teams to improve service delivery is highly valuable.
Successful candidates will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to make informed, data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, particularly when working with healthcare partners and presenting operational updates to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
The role also requires the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.
