This role can be based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, any of Foth’s locations, or fully remote within the United States.
The Project Director leads complex, multi-discipline capital projects and serves as a trusted advisor to major clients within the Food and Beverage and Paper and Converting industries. The position involves shaping execution strategies, influencing senior stakeholders, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
The role involves acting as the senior client interface for major capital programs, leading scope definition, execution strategy, proposal support, and relationship management.
It includes leading large, multi-discipline capital projects from concept through start-up, ensuring performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and compliance.
The position provides executive oversight for internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors, while guiding staffing strategies and mentoring project managers and engineers.
Responsibilities also include overseeing project controls such as scope management, risk mitigation, scheduling, cost management, and documentation.
The role directs procurement and contracting strategies for major equipment, materials, and services, and partners with construction management teams to support installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
It requires leading teams through change, solving complex project challenges, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery.
The position also supports business development efforts by strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
A minimum of 15 years of capital project experience is required, including leading multi-discipline teams and managing projects exceeding $10 million in scale.
Strong experience in program management and the ability to influence senior stakeholders is essential.
Industry experience in consumer products manufacturing is required.
Preferred qualifications include over 20 years of experience in Food and Beverage or Paper Converting environments, PMP certification, Professional Engineer licensure, and experience within an engineering consulting environment.
Experience mentoring project managers and supporting business development initiatives is also beneficial.
