The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to provide clinical supervision and oversight for nurse practitioners delivering infusion services in ambulatory infusion settings. This flexible, remote leadership role is designed for a physician seeking a low-time-commitment opportunity to support quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
- Provide physician supervision for nurse practitioners in accordance with Georgia state regulations.
- Conduct quarterly virtual meetings with supervised nurse practitioners to review clinical cases, provide mentorship, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
- Be available for clinical consultation as needed.
Quality & Compliance
- Perform periodic chart reviews and quality assurance evaluations.
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership on protocol development and updates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Maintain documentation of supervisory activities in accordance with Georgia regulations.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Active Georgia MD license.
- Active DEA license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical and compliant healthcare delivery.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
Preferred Experience
- Board certification in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology, or another relevant specialty.
- Experience providing physician oversight for advanced practice providers.
- Experience supporting quality assurance, protocol development, and clinical governance.
