The Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to provide clinical supervision and oversight for nurse practitioners delivering infusion services in ambulatory infusion settings. This flexible, remote leadership role is designed for a physician seeking a low-time-commitment opportunity to support quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

• Provide physician supervision for nurse practitioners in accordance with Georgia state regulations.
• Conduct quarterly virtual meetings with supervised nurse practitioners to review clinical cases, provide mentorship, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Be available for clinical consultation as needed.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform periodic chart reviews and quality assurance evaluations.
• Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership on protocol development and updates.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Maintain documentation of supervisory activities in accordance with Georgia regulations.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Active Georgia MD license.
• Active DEA license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ethical and compliant healthcare delivery.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology, or another relevant specialty.
• Experience providing physician oversight for advanced practice providers.
• Experience supporting quality assurance, protocol development, and clinical governance.
