Through a partnership with MVMT Ventures, FoundersBoost is launching a Healthcare & Accessibility Accelerator designed to support startups developing innovative healthcare and accessibility solutions.
The accelerator also partners with Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital, providing participating founders with access to healthcare expertise, strategic partners, and real-world clinical environments.
The Role
FoundersBoost is seeking a Program Co-Director to help lead its Healthcare & Accessibility Accelerator.
Working alongside another Program Co-Director and a Program Manager, this leadership role is responsible for overseeing the success of the six-week accelerator program, supporting participating founders, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening the healthcare startup ecosystem.
The role combines strategic leadership, ecosystem development, startup mentorship, partnership management, and program execution.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Co-lead all phases of the accelerator, including startup recruitment, program delivery, and post-program support.
- Manage and support the Program Manager and Volunteer Associates.
- Coordinate with FoundersBoost headquarters, MVMT Ventures, and Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital.
- Select high-potential startups for participation in the accelerator.
Founder Success
- Advise founders on business strategy, fundraising, market positioning, partnerships, and pitch development.
- Help startups prepare for customer growth, pilot programs, and investor engagement.
- Deliver a high-quality founder experience throughout the accelerator.
Ecosystem & Partnership Development
- Build and strengthen relationships across the healthcare startup ecosystem.
- Develop partnerships with mentors, investors, healthcare organizations, and accelerator programs.
- Support collaboration with MVMT Ventures and Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital.
Program Delivery
- Facilitate weekly virtual accelerator sessions.
- Recruit mentors, guest speakers, and industry experts.
- Create valuable networking and partnership opportunities for participating startups.
Demo Day & Showcase
- Prepare startups for the accelerator's Demo Day in San Francisco.
- Support participating companies as they prepare for presentations at CES in Las Vegas.
- Collaborate with the Event Coordinator to deliver successful in-person events.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Experience supporting early-stage healthcare startups.
- Experience evaluating and selecting startups for grant-funded or equity-backed accelerator programs.
- Strong operational and program leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with startup founders, investors, mentors, and innovation ecosystems.
- Strong interest in entrepreneurship, healthcare innovation, and startup acceleration.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve planning, research, analysis, and execution.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with fundraising and investor relations for early-stage companies.
- Established network of founders, investors, mentors, and startup ecosystem leaders.
- Experience leading accelerator or incubator programs.
- Availability to work with significant overlap during Pacific Time business hours.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25,000 flat project fee for the accelerator cycle
- Approximately 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Fully remote engagement
