The Role
Kimball Midwest is seeking a part-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy and oversee its overall financial performance.
The CFO will partner closely with executive leadership to drive long-term financial planning, ensure sound financial controls, manage cash flow and capital allocation, and provide strategic guidance that supports sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Support sustainable growth through strategic financial decision-making.
Financial Management
- Oversee financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
- Manage cash flow, capital structure, and funding strategies.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance practices.
Executive Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align financial objectives with business operations.
- Support long-term planning and capital allocation decisions.
- Present financial information clearly to executives and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive senior financial leadership experience, preferably as a CFO or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial reporting.
- Advanced analytical and strategic financial management skills.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, capital structure, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
- High level of integrity and sound professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience within distribution, industrial, or related industries.
