
La Nuova Musica is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organisation and support its continued artistic and financial development. This is a part-time leadership role working closely with the Board of Trustees and Artistic Director to guide both strategic direction and operational execution.
La Nuova Musica is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, recognised as a highly regarded period music ensemble. The organisation is focused on delivering high-quality artistic performances while ensuring long-term sustainability.
You will play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation, balancing artistic ambition with financial stability. This position offers the chance to work within a respected arts institution while contributing to its growth and evolution.
You will collaborate with the Board of Trustees and Artistic Director to develop and deliver the organisation’s artistic programme and financial strategy. You will oversee operations, ensuring the organisation runs effectively while supporting long-term sustainability.
You will report directly to the Chair of the Board and act as a key link between governance and day-to-day execution. You will also support planning and delivery of performances, including coordinating activities that require travel across London, the UK, and Europe.
You bring experience as an arts manager or in a similar leadership role within the cultural sector. You are comfortable working closely with boards and senior stakeholders, and able to balance creative vision with operational and financial responsibilities.
You are adaptable, collaborative, and able to manage responsibilities in a flexible, part-time structure while supporting an ambitious and evolving organisation.
Success in this role means delivering a strong and sustainable organisational structure that supports high-quality artistic output, while strengthening financial stability and enabling continued growth.
This is a part-time role of approximately 2.5 days per week, offering a salary of around £60,000 pro rata. The position is based in the UK with flexibility to work remotely, alongside travel for performances across London, the UK, and Europe.
