The Director of Regulatory Intelligence is responsible for leading the organisation’s external-facing regulatory intelligence function. This includes identifying, assessing, and communicating key regulatory developments to clients, prospective clients, and internal stakeholders.
The role ensures that regulatory updates are delivered in a structured and consistent manner through newsletters, insights, and tailored communications. It also plays a key role in aligning regulatory developments with commercial opportunities, contributing to product strategy and revenue growth.
This position works closely with the Group Head of Horizon Scanning within the Compliance function, as well as with Product, Business Development, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate, relevant, and actionable regulatory insights.
The role involves collaborating with the Group Head of Horizon Scanning to establish effective processes for monitoring regulatory and market developments that impact clients, prospective clients, and stakeholders, particularly within the investment management space.
You will maintain a centralised repository of regulatory updates and insights, ensuring accessibility and consistency across the organisation.
The position requires working with industry forum representatives to gather and interpret global regulatory developments and translating these into meaningful insights for clients.
You will develop and deliver regular client communications, including monthly or quarterly newsletters, as well as targeted briefings, webinars, and thought leadership content. This includes supporting communications for LinkedIn and website publication.
The role also involves partnering with Product and Business Development teams to identify commercial opportunities arising from regulatory changes and contributing to the development of new or enhanced product offerings.
You will coordinate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
The position supports internal enablement by ensuring that teams understand regulatory developments and can effectively incorporate them into client discussions.
You will also assist Relationship Managers and Key Account Managers by providing regulatory insights for board reports and client engagements.
Additionally, the role includes supporting technical sales efforts by training Business Development teams on regulatory changes and product implications, as well as representing the organisation at industry events and participating in marketing initiatives.
Candidates should hold an internationally recognised professional qualification and possess a strong academic background, ideally with a degree in law, business, economics, or a related field.
Applicants should have a minimum of ten years of experience in professional services, preferably within the funds industry or a law firm environment.
Experience within risk, research, legal, compliance, or portfolio management functions is required, along with a demonstrated ability to apply research insights to real-world business contexts.
Candidates must have strong client-facing experience, including presentation and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
The role requires excellent organisational, time management, and critical thinking skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems are also required.
