Independent Trustee, Board of Trustees (U.S. Real Estate Fund), Equiton

Equiton is launching its first U.S. private real estate fund and is seeking an Independent Trustee to join its Board of Trustees. This role will focus on governance, oversight, and investor protection, while also supporting the firm’s entry and growth in the U.S. market.

About The Role

As an Independent Trustee, you will provide objective oversight across fund governance, strategy, and risk management. You will ensure compliance with fiduciary and regulatory standards while addressing potential conflicts of interest in the best interest of the fund and its investors.

Given this is Equiton’s first U.S. fund, the role also carries an advisory element, supporting the firm in establishing its presence, offering market insight, and helping build relationships with key stakeholders.

What You Will Do

You will participate in quarterly board meetings and additional advisory discussions, reviewing materials and contributing to informed decision-making. You will provide guidance on fund performance, capital deployment, valuation, and risk exposure.

You will evaluate transactions involving potential conflicts and uphold governance standards across all board activities. You will also support the firm’s U.S. expansion by offering insight into market dynamics, helping strengthen positioning with investors and partners, and contributing to broader strategic discussions.

Who You Are

You bring experience in areas such as U.S. multi-residential real estate, capital raising for alternative investments, or governance and risk within private investment structures. You are comfortable operating in a board or advisory capacity and can assess complex financial and investment materials.

You have a strong understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and governance frameworks, along with the ability to provide independent, objective judgment. Experience as a trustee or board director is valuable, as are formal governance credentials.
