The Role
The National Sales Director will lead and build the company's U.S. Alternate Care business.
This is a hands-on sales leadership role focused on developing market strategy, expanding distributor and customer relationships, driving new business, and helping build the sales organization required to support continued growth.
The role is suited to an experienced healthcare sales leader with strong knowledge of the alternate-site market who is comfortable combining strategic leadership with direct selling and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Lead the development and execution of the U.S. Alternate Care sales strategy.
- Develop business across physician offices, dental groups, surgery centers, laboratories, and other alternate-site healthcare settings.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop the future territory strategy and sales organization required to support growth.
Distributor & Customer Relationships
- Build relationships with distributors, GPOs, and key end-user customers.
- Take ownership of existing relationships and opportunities while identifying and developing new business.
- Work with distributor partners to create end-user demand and drive product pull-through.
- Build relationships with procurement, clinical leadership, and executive decision-makers.
Business Development & Sales Execution
- Develop new business and build lasting customer relationships.
- Sell directly to customers while developing broader commercial opportunities through distribution.
- Maintain strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations.
Team Leadership
- Help build the future sales organization supporting the Alternate Care business.
- Lead people and develop sales capabilities as the business grows.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of healthcare sales experience with meaningful exposure to the alternate-site market.
- Experience working with healthcare distributors and end-user customers.
- Strong understanding of how products move through distribution into alternate-care settings.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to operate independently.
- Experience leading people or building sales teams.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable selling directly to customers.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Ability to travel nationally up to approximately 25%.
Direct PPE experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with strong alternate-care market knowledge, industry relationships, and experience building business through distribution are particularly relevant.
Location
- Remote within the United States.
- Candidates located east of the Mississippi are preferred due to the concentration of key customers and distribution partners.
- Strong candidates throughout the U.S. will also be considered.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000–$175,000.
- Uncapped commission opportunity with significant upside as the Alternate Care business grows.
