About the Role
The business is seeking an experienced part-time CFO to provide strategic financial oversight, group budgeting and reporting, and operational leadership across an award-winning luxury holidays and travel business.
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a board-level team in a dynamic hospitality business. It combines senior finance responsibilities with operational oversight of lodge operations, making it well suited to a finance leader with hands-on hospitality or multi-site operational experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly group management accounts and KPIs to the Board of Directors.
- Oversee annual group budgets, quarterly reforecasts and cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct financial reviews to help maximise revenue and profitability.
- Maintain financial controls, SOPs and reporting standards across operations.
- Manage group banking, taxation, insurance, compliance and Company Secretarial matters.
- Prepare and submit accounts and papers for quarterly Board meetings.
Operational Leadership
- Conduct on-site reviews of all operations, including financial and operational performance.
- Oversee General Managers across the portfolio.
- Provide operational direction on staffing, guest experience standards, maintenance priorities and supplier relationships.
- Lead operational performance reviews during site visits.
- Assess lodge efficiency, cost management, procurement practices and health & safety compliance.
- Report findings and recommendations to the Board following on-site visits.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Drive operational systems and SOPs across the group.
- Work with lodge management to implement and monitor standard operating procedures.
- Improve efficiency, reduce costs and maintain quality standards across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Senior finance professional with CFO-level experience, preferably in hospitality or tourism.
- Proven operational management experience, ideally across multi-site hospitality, lodge or tourism operations.
- Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong operational connections with on-the-ground teams.
