Contract Type: 9-Month Maternity Cover

Location: United Kingdom

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Part-Time

Schedule: 3 Days Per Week

Reports To: Managing Director

Compensation

Salary: £100,000 FTE

Compensation will be adjusted based on the agreed part-time schedule.

Role Overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced marketing executive to lead an established marketing function during a maternity cover period.

The successful candidate will oversee brand, content, digital marketing, CRM, customer experience, and performance marketing activities while ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and long-term growth goals.

The role combines strategic leadership, team management, commercial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration within a highly respected luxury consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership

Provide leadership and direction to a marketing team of approximately 17 professionals.

Lead and support two senior direct reports responsible for:

  • Brand & Content
  • Digital Marketing

Maintain team performance, engagement, and operational effectiveness throughout the contract period.

Strategic Marketing Management

Execute and oversee marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.

Ensure consistency and excellence across all customer touchpoints.

Support continued commercial growth while maintaining premium brand positioning.

Brand & Content Oversight

Act as senior editorial lead across:

  • Content strategy
  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • Website content
  • Editorial publications

Oversee a flagship editorial publication alongside broader content and brand initiatives.

Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition

Provide strategic oversight for:

  • Website strategy and development
  • CRM initiatives
  • SEO programs
  • Social media strategy
  • Customer journey optimization
  • Digital marketing campaigns

Partner with Group Digital teams on:

  • Performance marketing
  • Budget allocation
  • Customer acquisition initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Sales leadership
  • Operations teams
  • Commercial stakeholders
  • Customer experience teams

Ensure marketing activities support:

  • Revenue growth
  • Lead quality
  • Customer acquisition
  • Business priorities

Agency & Vendor Management

Manage relationships with external partners including:

  • PR agencies
  • Design agencies
  • Development partners
  • Specialist marketing vendors

Ensure external resources align with strategic objectives and brand standards.

Budgeting & Reporting

Support:

  • Annual planning processes
  • Budget management
  • Commercial forecasting

Provide performance reporting and strategic updates to senior leadership stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience

Proven experience at one of the following levels:

  • Marketing Director
  • Head of Marketing
  • Senior Marketing Leader

Experience within:

  • Luxury brands
  • Premium consumer businesses
  • Hospitality
  • Travel
  • Service-led organizations

Leadership Experience

Strong people leadership experience managing established marketing teams.

Ability to quickly build trust, maintain momentum, and integrate into existing leadership structures.

Marketing Expertise

Broad experience across:

  • Brand marketing
  • Content marketing
  • Digital marketing
  • Customer acquisition
  • CRM
  • Performance marketing
  • Customer experience

Commercial Acumen

Ability to connect marketing performance directly to:

  • Revenue growth
  • Customer quality
  • Commercial outcomes
  • Business performance

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience within:

  • Matrix organizations
  • Group structures
  • High-growth environments

Previous experience in:

  • Interim leadership roles
  • Maternity cover assignments
  • Fractional executive positions
