Director, CRM Platform & Product
Cars Commerce is seeking a Director of CRM Platform & Product to lead the strategic evolution of the company’s Salesforce ecosystem. This leadership role will oversee the platform that powers customer engagement across Sales, Marketing, and Service teams.
The role combines strategic product leadership, enterprise architecture oversight, and operational execution. The Director will act as a strategic partner to the business, identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and performance improvements that support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
This role requires setting the product and technology vision for the CRM platform, prioritizing initiatives, and managing the execution of platform development through a team of architects, developers, and managers.
This position may require in-person interviews.
Strategic Platform and Product Leadership
Lead the enterprise CRM strategy and develop a 12 to 18 month roadmap aligned with go-to-market and business priorities.
Identify and advocate for AI-driven solutions, automation opportunities, and operational improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Conduct user research to understand business needs and build business cases that demonstrate operational efficiency gains and ROI.
Influence senior stakeholders across business units to ensure the CRM platform supports broader corporate objectives.
Prioritize investments and initiatives based on measurable business impact.
Platform Architecture and Execution
Define and maintain the long-term engineering vision and architectural standards for the CRM ecosystem, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Data Cloud.
Design scalable, secure, and integrated solutions that meet internal business needs and support customer engagement.
Lead the platform’s AI and automation strategy using tools such as AgentForce, Einstein, and Salesforce Flow.
Collaborate with enterprise analytics teams to maintain data quality and enhance reporting capabilities.
Ensure adherence to modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, governance standards, and regulatory compliance such as SOX.
Team and Resource Management
Lead a blended organization that includes internal team members and external partners, with a total team size of approximately 20 to 30 individuals across product management, architecture, engineering, quality assurance, administration, and platform support.
Manage budget allocation, vendor relationships, and offshore resourcing to ensure platform stability and strong return on investment.
Define service level agreements, governance processes, and scopes of work for managed services and vendor partnerships.
Recruit, develop, and mentor team members while building an inclusive and innovative culture.
Enterprise Change Management and Adoption
Lead change management initiatives that support successful platform adoption through training, documentation, communication, and user experience improvements.
Provide executive leadership with visibility into platform performance, roadmap progress, operational risks, and measurable business outcomes.
Represent the CRM platform’s strategy and execution across leadership forums and planning discussions.
Required Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise technology environments.
At least 5 years leading Salesforce or CRM platform teams.
Minimum of 3 years managing managers and leading cross-functional technology teams.
Strong experience in CRM architecture, enterprise system integration, and business systems strategy.
Experience implementing DevOps principles and modern platform engineering practices.

Compensation
Base salary range for this position is:
$175,800 – $219,750 per year.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and role level. Certain positions may also be eligible for bonus or equity programs.
