
PFLAG Los Angeles is a nonprofit focused on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and their families through education, advocacy, and community programs. The organization has been active since 1976 and continues to work with local communities to promote inclusion and support.
This is a part-time role that can be structured as either a board position or an operational role focused on community engagement.
The position involves leading and supporting initiatives that strengthen relationships with the community and expand outreach efforts.
You will help set direction for community engagement efforts and identify opportunities to build partnerships with organizations and local groups.
You will represent the organization at events, support outreach activities, and help grow community involvement. You will also participate in board meetings where required and contribute to broader organizational discussions.
You have experience in community engagement, partnerships, or leadership roles. You are comfortable building relationships and working with a range of communities.
You have a strong understanding of LGBTQ+ communities and are motivated to support initiatives that promote inclusion and connection.
This role requires a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week. It may involve attending in-person events in Los Angeles and participating in periodic board meetings.
