This Head of Data position is a six-month contract opportunity for a senior data leader to shape and scale enterprise data capabilities within a growing organisation. You will take ownership of data strategy, governance, and analytics, playing a key role in driving transformation during a critical phase of growth.
The organisation is undergoing a shift toward greater structural and data maturity, creating the need for strong leadership to define and execute a long-term data vision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in scale-up environments and can build robust data foundations within regulated industries.
You will own and deliver the enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI strategy, aligning initiatives with business objectives over a multi-year horizon. You will define and implement a scalable data operating model, establishing standards, capabilities, and best practices across the organisation.
You will lead high-impact data initiatives, including platform development, self-service analytics, and advanced analytics capabilities. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across all areas of the business.
You will also lead and develop a central Data and Analytics function, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and high performance. You will take responsibility for data governance, quality, security, and compliance, while promoting a strong data culture and improving data literacy across the organisation.
You bring extensive experience as a senior data leader, with a track record of delivering data transformation in scale-up or high-growth environments. You are comfortable operating in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or energy and utilities.
You have strong expertise in data strategy, governance, analytics, and AI, along with the ability to translate complex data initiatives into business impact. You are an effective leader who can build and scale teams while influencing senior stakeholders.

This is a six-month contract role offering a day rate between £700 and £850, depending on experience. The position is remote, falls inside IR35, and is expected to start around the beginning of May.
