This role supports a manufacturing environment focused on drivetrain and powertrain systems. The position is centered on improving operational technology (OT) security through guidance, planning, and alignment, without disrupting production.
This is a part-time, contract role with a focus on providing executive-level guidance on OT security. The role is advisory in nature, helping leadership understand where to start, what to prioritize, and how to improve security without impacting operations.
You will work across IT, OT, and leadership teams to bring clarity to ownership, risk, and decision-making.
You will provide security guidance tailored to manufacturing environments, taking into account uptime requirements, safety considerations, and legacy systems. You will help define governance structures, ownership, and accountability for OT security.
You will support leadership in prioritizing security initiatives based on risk and operational impact, and help establish a practical roadmap for improving security posture. You will also advise on architecture, vendor risk, and system dependencies.
You will translate technical risks into clear business terms and support decision-making without focusing on specific tools or day-to-day operations.
You have experience working with OT security in manufacturing environments and understand the balance between security and operational continuity.
You are comfortable advising at a senior level, working across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and helping organizations make practical decisions around security.
You have experience with governance, security architecture, and prioritization, and are able to guide teams on where to start and how to move forward.
This is a part-time, contract role with an estimated commitment of around 160 hours in total, with flexible scheduling.
