Springboard is seeking a Vice President, Development to join its senior leadership team and lead fundraising strategy, revenue generation, and donor engagement.
This full-time remote U.S.-based role operates on Eastern Standard Time, with approximately 25% travel for donor meetings, events, and partner engagement. NYC-area candidates are preferred.
The role is responsible for securing the financial and strategic resources needed to grow programming and deepen organizational impact while partnering closely with the CEO on future multi-year fundraising strategy.
You will execute the organization’s fundraising strategy and deliver against annual revenue goals while helping build long-term plans for future growth.
The role includes identifying, cultivating, and securing grants from private and corporate foundations while developing sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
You will personally manage relationships with high-net-worth donors, alumnae, and mission-aligned supporters while making direct funding requests.
You will design and lead fundraising events such as salons, convenings, and donor engagement gatherings with strong follow-up and conversion processes.
You will build the fundraising infrastructure through CRM management, pipeline tracking, moves management, grant reporting, and donor-facing materials.
The role also includes overseeing the development budget, managing support staff, aligning with communications and program teams, and activating board members, advisors, and alumnae networks to support fundraising outcomes.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant fundraising experience, including progressive leadership roles and direct work with executive leadership.
You should have at least five years of experience designing and growing diversified fundraising strategies.
Applicants must be strong relationship builders with high emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organization, discipline, follow-through, and pipeline management skills are essential.
You should also be an effective writer, storyteller, and communicator who can translate mission impact into compelling donor narratives.
Candidates must have existing work authorization in the United States, as visa sponsorship is not available.
The role offers a salary of $150,000 plus benefits.
