The Role

Provisions Group is seeking an experienced Fractional CIO / Strategic Technology Advisor to provide executive-level technology leadership for a growing organization.

This strategic advisory role focuses on assessing the current technology landscape, aligning IT priorities with business objectives, and guiding long-term technology investments across infrastructure, systems, data, analytics, and governance.

This is not a hands-on technical support or infrastructure management position.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy

• Provide fractional CIO-level leadership and strategic technology guidance.
• Assess the organization's technology landscape and identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
• Develop practical technology roadmaps aligned with business growth.
• Evaluate existing platforms, systems, and technology investments.
• Align technology initiatives with long-term business objectives.

Data & Analytics

• Provide guidance on enterprise data strategy and analytics.
• Evaluate reporting platforms and future-state analytics capabilities.
• Help the organization leverage data more effectively for business decision-making.

Executive Advisory

• Partner with executive leadership to prioritize technology initiatives.
• Recommend vendors, platforms, governance models, and operational improvements.
• Mentor and support existing IT leadership.
• Help determine future technology leadership needs as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CIO, VP of IT, Head of Technology, vCIO, or senior technology executive.
• Experience developing enterprise technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of data strategy, analytics platforms, and executive reporting.
• Experience evaluating technology investments and providing executive-level recommendations.
• Ability to mentor IT leaders and support organizational maturity.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fractional, advisory, or consulting capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting organizations in the construction, engineering, architecture, professional services, or other project-based industries.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure, enterprise applications, business operations, and technology governance.

This position focuses exclusively on executive technology leadership, strategic planning, and business alignment.

Engagement Model

The engagement begins as a part-time fractional consulting role through Provisions Group with flexible hours based on client needs.

There is potential for the engagement to expand over time as the client's technology leadership requirements evolve.
