The Role

Intellibus Consulting is seeking an experienced Program Manager / PMO Delivery Lead to oversee complex technology programs for enterprise Financial Services clients. This leadership role partners directly with executive stakeholders while driving delivery across multiple engineering teams, ensuring strategic initiatives are executed successfully from planning through implementation.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with strong program leadership experience, serving as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal engineering teams while maintaining delivery excellence across large-scale consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Program Management

• Lead multiple concurrent technology programs across Banking, Payments, Trading, and Financial Services.
• Own program governance, planning, budgeting, RAID management, executive reporting, and delivery.
• Establish PMO best practices and delivery governance.
• Translate business priorities into engineering roadmaps.
• Manage budgets, risks, dependencies, escalations, and release planning.

Client & Executive Leadership

• Serve as the primary delivery partner for enterprise Financial Services clients.
• Build relationships with CTOs, CIOs, Program Directors, and executive leadership.
• Lead Steering Committee meetings and executive governance reviews.
• Present executive status updates and delivery progress.

Delivery & Engineering Oversight

• Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Lead delivery across multiple Scrum teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining engineering quality.
• Support engineering teams by discussing architecture and technical trade-offs when required.

Financial Services Transformation

• Lead initiatives across Banking, Payments, Money Movement, Trading Platforms, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Financial Platform Modernization, and Regulatory Technology.
• Balance client expectations with engineering execution throughout complex transformation programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience.
• 8+ years as a Program Manager, PMO Lead, or Delivery Manager.
• Financial Services or FinTech industry experience.
• Consulting background with experience managing enterprise technology programs.
• Experience managing multiple engineering workstreams.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and enterprise architecture.
• Previous experience as a Software Engineer before transitioning into Program Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, AWS, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong understanding of modern enterprise architecture and cloud technologies.

Compensation

• $100–$110 per hour
