The Role
The Head of Content Strategy will lead Agilio's unified, cross-sector content function, setting the overall content strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
The role will focus on making content structured, modular, reusable, clinically credible, commercially valuable, and ready to support AI-enabled products and services. This is a strategic leadership position operating at approximately 0.4–0.5 FTE.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Innovation
- Own and deliver Agilio's cross-sector content strategy.
- Develop structured, modular, and reusable content across sectors, geographies, and customer types.
- Enable content to support learning, in-product guidance, compliance workflows, and AI features.
- Establish a multi-year innovation agenda covering AI, structured content, and new learning formats.
- Explore AI-assisted content creation and new content formats.
Team Leadership & Operating Model
- Lead the unified content team and line-manage the Senior Editor and Content Operations roles.
- Set strategic priorities, manage escalations, and provide direction while maintaining day-to-day ownership within the team.
- Support content producers with broader skills development and clear progression pathways.
- Champion practical use of AI tools to improve content creation and quality assurance.
Content Governance & Quality
- Establish a unified governance framework for clinical and learning content.
- Ensure consistency, clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, auditability, traceability, and version control.
- Maintain Agilio's standards for trusted, evidence-based content.
Clinical Content & Expertise
- Oversee the SME clinical lead pool across Primary Care, Dental, and emerging markets.
- Ensure clinical experts are supported by standardised agreements and effective project administration.
- Support external clinical and professional relationships where required.
Content Operations
- Maintain oversight of Agilio's existing content across products, including iLearn, CKS/Prodigy, Vet, Pharmacy, and BSA.
- Identify opportunities to reuse existing content and reduce duplication.
- Improve processes for producing new courses and sector- or country-specific content.
- Own core content standards, frameworks, templates, and operating processes through Content Operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product and Engineering to align content strategy with product roadmaps and improve authoring tools, SCORM, platforms, and workflows.
- Work with Managing Directors across Primary Care, Dental, and Emerging Markets to incorporate business priorities.
- Provide strategic guidance to Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing on content offerings, sector insights, and positioning.
Commercial & Customer Impact
- Ensure content supports commercial objectives, including packaging, bundling, and cross-selling.
- Identify and remove content-related barriers to growth.
- Demonstrate the commercial value and return on content investment.
- Ensure content meets evolving customer and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in content strategy and leadership.
- Expertise in digital learning and e-learning.
- Strong understanding of content governance and quality assurance.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience with AI and content innovation.
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy.
- 3+ years of experience in team leadership.
- Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
Compensation
- £45,000–£50,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
