Mercer Advisors is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the Opportunity Engine, a system designed to help advisors identify and act on growth opportunities with existing clients.
This role owns the product vision, strategy, and execution while leading a cross functional pod that delivers iterative business impact.
The role sits at the intersection of wealth management and technology. The Director will translate business needs into product capabilities that drive measurable outcomes, including improved client experience, stronger net revenue retention, and better advisor workflows.
Lead the Product
Own the Opportunity Engine roadmap from discovery through delivery.
Define requirements for growth action types including share of wallet opportunities and referral generation.
Make decisions on scope, sequencing, and product tradeoffs with clarity and speed.
Lead a Cross Functional Pod
Partner daily with engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders.
Run agile ceremonies and ensure the team has the resources needed to deliver.
Coordinate across Technology, Business Intelligence, Sales, and Field Enablement teams.
Manage relationships with external partners.
Leverage AI
Integrate AI capabilities into advisor workflows to support growth.
Use data and machine learning to power recommendations.
Use AI tools to improve team productivity and product development efficiency.
Drive Outcomes
Define success metrics and track progress toward client excellence and net revenue retention goals.
Partner with Business Intelligence teams to build dashboards that monitor pipeline health by advisor, market, and division.
Continuously improve the product based on pilot feedback and usage data.
7 or more years of experience in product management, ideally within financial services, wealth management, or B2B SaaS.
A track record of shipping products that integrate with existing systems and workflows.
Experience working in or leading cross functional teams including engineering, design, and data.
Experience managing multiple products simultaneously.
Strong ability to translate complex business processes into clear product requirements.
Comfort with AI concepts and their application to user facing products.
Experience building and managing AI agents.
Strong data fluency with the ability to define metrics, interpret dashboards, and make data driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non technical audiences.
Bias toward action while maintaining high product quality.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
User focused, with the ability to start from advisor pain points and design solutions around them.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a high visibility initiative with direct executive sponsorship. The Opportunity Engine is central to how Mercer Advisors delivers its family office promise by helping clients manage their complete financial lives.
The position offers the autonomy to shape the product while having the resources needed to deliver meaningful improvements.
Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several factors including geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and certifications.
Base Pay Range
$165,000 to $175,000 USD
This position is also eligible for incentive compensation through Mercer Advisors incentive compensation programs.
