
Epiq Counsel is supporting a fully remote, part-time engagement with a U.S.-based financial services client.
This role involves serving as a senior legal advisor, providing strategic guidance on complex regulatory matters within a highly regulated environment. The position requires autonomy, strong judgment, and the ability to partner directly with business leaders on high-impact decisions.
Part-time commitment of approximately 20 to 30 hours per week.
Fully remote work arrangement.
Compensation based on experience.
This is a fixed-term engagement within an alternative legal services model.
Advise on federal securities law matters related to investment and wealth management activities.
Support the structuring, launch, and operation of investment vehicles such as collective investment trusts and pooled investment products.
Provide guidance on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Investment Company Act, and Securities Act of 1933.
Counsel on regulatory considerations related to broker-dealer operations, investment advisory services, and disclosure practices.
Advise on the offering, marketing, and documentation of investment products to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Provide legal support for retirement-related investment solutions, including advisory and brokerage implications.
Identify legal risks, assess regulatory exposure, and develop practical solutions in collaboration with senior leadership.
Operate independently to provide proactive legal insight and issue spotting.
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a federal securities attorney, with a focus on investment and wealth management.
Deep knowledge of U.S. federal securities laws and regulatory frameworks.
Extensive experience advising on investment adviser and broker-dealer regulatory matters.
Experience with pooled investment products, exemptions, and offering structures.
Experience with stable value funds and retirement-related investment products is preferred.
Active bar license in good standing.
Ability to work independently in a senior advisory capacity.
