About the Company

The company operates within the global pharmaceutical industry and maintains a dedicated Global Compliance & Risk Management (GCRM) organization responsible for ensuring ethical business practices and regulatory compliance across multiple international markets.

This role supports global oncology and specialty business functions by providing strategic compliance guidance aligned with pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards.

The Role

The Director, Global Business Partner serves as the primary compliance advisor for assigned global business functions, providing strategic guidance on regulatory compliance, risk management, and business initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Global Compliance, Business Interactions, this executive partners closely with Legal, Regulatory, IT, Finance, and commercial leadership to ensure compliance with global pharmaceutical laws and internal policies.

The role requires an experienced compliance leader capable of independently advising senior stakeholders while supporting the continuous improvement of the organization's global compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Leadership

  • Serve as the primary compliance advisor for assigned global business units.
  • Provide strategic compliance guidance on business initiatives, projects, and operational activities.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments for marketing, medical affairs, pricing, AI initiatives, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Advise leadership on pharmaceutical-specific compliance risks involving healthcare providers, customers, and patients.

Risk Management

  • Develop and support compliance controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure business activities comply with internal policies and global regulatory requirements.
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support ongoing enhancement of the company's global compliance framework.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, IT, Finance, and other business functions.
  • Coordinate with regional and local affiliates to ensure consistent compliance practices globally.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders to support compliance initiatives.

Compliance Program Development

  • Develop and enhance compliance tools, guidance documents, and job aids.
  • Maintain global compliance processes and ensure alignment with evolving regulations.
  • Monitor changes in pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and industry guidance.
  • Lead or support compliance reporting and presentations for Global Compliance & Risk Management meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong background in compliance, legal, policy, or risk management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of US FDA, EMA, JPMA, IFPMA, and other global pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting global cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Legal or healthcare background.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare ethics and pharmaceutical compliance principles.
  • Knowledge of anti-kickback laws, false claims regulations, and other healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting global pharmaceutical organizations.
