Function: Fractional/Interim Finance (CFO)

Engagement types: Interim (3–9 months, full-time) or Fractional (1–3 days/week, 6–12+ months.)

Scope: Client-facing executive leadership placements across the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America.

Talent Bench Notice: This is a relationship-first role. We’re building a vetted bench of CFO leaders for upcoming interim and fractional engagements.

What you’ll do (typical CFO engagement outcomes)

  • Stabilize and lead finance during transitions (exit/leave, rapid growth, restructuring, post-acquisition).
  • Own cash, liquidity, and forecasting with a “no surprises” operating cadence.
  • Build board-ready reporting: KPIs, monthly close rhythm, and decision-grade insights.
  • Lead budgeting, scenario modeling, and capital planning (debt/equity where relevant).
  • Strengthen controls, compliance, audit readiness, and risk management.
  • Partner with CEO/President and functional leaders to translate strategy into numbers and actions.
  • Upgrade the finance engine: systems/process improvement, FP&A maturity, margin discipline.

What “great” looks like in the first 30–60 days

  • Establish a clean view of runway, risks, and priorities within the first 2–3 weeks.
  • Produce an executive-level forecast and operating dashboard leaders actually use.
  • Create stability: close calendar, owners, controls, and decision cadence.
  • Make 2–3 high-impact recommendations that immediately improve cash/margin visibility.

Ideal profile

  • Senior operator: CFO, VP Finance, Divisional CFO, or Finance Transformation leader.
  • Fortune 500 experience (or equivalent scale/complexity) and ability to execute in leaner environments.
  • Comfortable walking into ambiguity, earning trust fast, and leading through change.
  • Experience across one or more: consumer/retail, manufacturing/industrial, logistics/distribution, healthcare (non-clinical), PE portfolio environments.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong bonus, especially for U.S., Mexico/LATAM interfaces.
